You might register two specific symbols - the so called “Blue Modus” and “Green Modus” - on the major part of Modus luminaires from the beginning of this year.

We can demonstrate meaning of these symbols clearly on the luminaires for the street lighting Modus LV :

„Blue Modus“ means that the luminaire consists European components.
This fact will be certainly appreciated by the consumers preferring quality and long service life of the products.
This is a very important condition for the scope of application as street lights.
Last, but not least, this fact is important for the rising share of customers who do not want to use non-European products as a principle.

„Green Modus“ represents the symbol for environment friendly products.
The luminaires for public lighting Modus LV (compact fluorescent lamps) represent the environment friendly variant for 14 years already, because thanks to their low power input they can save many kWh of el. power.
This saving can be expressed not only in cash, but also in tons of saved coal, barrels of crude oil or (non)emitted CO2.

Development of the new model Modus LVN/R is the latest example, where thanks to mathematic computation of the Plexiglas (Perspex) diffuser shape and by designing a new reflector of anodized aluminum efficacy of the luminaire has been increased up to 80 %.

With the possibility of utilization of the electronic ballast in this luminaire we obtain an absolutely top energy product saving surprisingly a lot of el. power.
